Metocean Advisory and Studies

We specialise in understanding metocean statistics and data engineering and apply our understanding of the marine environment, and inhouse curated datasets for hindcast calibration, to reduce risk whilst minimising costs in challenging engineering projects.

We offer advanced and customised analysis of wind and wave conditions, which can range from a simple statistical assessment of the sea state during planning and permitting of an offshore marine operation, to complex studies supporting feasibility, detailed engineering, and vessel manoeuvrability assessments during installation, construction, and decommissioning.

Marine Environmental Consultancy

We deliver a comprehensive range of services in support of understanding marine environmental impacts and satisfying regulatory obligations for offshore installations. Our services include permitting and feasibility assessment to support environmental compliance and environmental impact assessments and statements during planning and permitting both for wind farm development locations and marine transmission cables to shore.

Integrated Marine Monitoring System and Data Services

We have created, and continue to develop, performance digital twins for the offshore energy market. At the core of our performance digital twins are two components: The Integrated Marine Monitoring System (IMMS) installed on the fixed-bottom or floating marine energy facility, and BMT’s cloud-based platform BMT Deep, powering applications that analyse the offshore facility’s environment in parallel to real-time structural response, predicting integrity issues based on expected responses delivered by a physics-based model. Our performance twin blueprints are co-created with asset operators and supported by subject matter expertise in environmental science, navel architecture, marine engineering, and marine O&M.
